Cole's Biography

Cole Baisch is completing a Ph.D. at Claremont Graduate University in Positive Developmental Psychology. His area of specialization includes well-being, Character Strengths, Flourishing Systems, and Transformative Experiences. Cole has been obsessed with self-development, virtue cultivation, and pursuing Eudaimonia (Human Flourishing) since 2012. 


For the past 3 years, Cole has taught courses on Philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience to undergraduate students. He completed a Master's degree in Humanistic Philosophy and Cognitive Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Before this, Cole received two bachelor's degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz: a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Cognitive Science, both with honors, and having won departmental awards for service and leadership. 


Professionally, before pursuing his Ph.D. Cole worked as an academic advisor, where he met with undergraduate students, asked them about their dream careers and goals, and then created plans to help students reach those goals. He has helped numerous students graduate, secure their dream jobs, and gain admission to graduate programs.


Cole worked as a personal trainer for many years online and in commercial gyms. He has been exercising consistently for 10+ years. He runs, practices resistance training, and practices yoga weekly.  He has helped numerous people lose body fat, gain lean muscle, and increase their endurance and athletic prowess. 


Cole was born in South Lake Tahoe, California, and grew up on a homestead in the rural foothills of California. For fun, he loves spending time with loved ones, reading, cooking, playing video games, and watching films. Once a year, Cole likes to go on epic international adventures; he has run with the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, drank Ayahuasca with the Quechua People in Peru, climbed to the top of Castles in Japan and Europe, and mountain climbed in Switzerland, amongst other adventures.
